One of the things I love about working at The Monarchy, is that it really is a positive environment. In an industry where it's easy for competition and resentment to breed, the women of The Monarchy strive to support and lift one another up. Of course that's easy to say and have it be dismissed but the proof is in one tradition that I simply love. Each quarter a girl is chosen from among peer nominations and votes to become The Monarchy Angel. We each get a chance to have a voice on who we feel truly represents all the things a Monarchy girl is.
Our newest Angel is someone I personally adore and have enjoyed both working with and getting to know better each chance we get. So when we held the celebration dinner in honor of her, I had to be there. Getting the chance to share what this woman means to me and hear others do the same was the kind of positive experience the world needs more of. It didn't hurt that it was also a chance to get dressed up and be formal for an evening. Or that I was able to enjoy a dance or two with a new friend and talented entertainer, the captivating Roberto Fantasy.
