Usually when making major changes to our looks, we celebrate by revealing the newness in some grand way. Or at least announcing it in some way when we begin to share photos. That is when we're not already working on producing a burlesque show for a cast of eight dancers which packs a sim with over seventy people while being streamed to 100 more. That said, I can't possibly let this update pass without honoring what has led to it.
I have been debating and trialing potential revamps to my look since Bakes on Mesh became more wide spread. I thought I had found something I could love, but the more I played with it, the more elements I found that were missing or just not quite right. Then much to my continued surprise, I learned I had won a credit to LeLutka from the Adam Lavell photo challenge. To make things even more amazing, it was for a piece honoring content creators who have enhanced my Second Life with their creations.
Given that the head I'd been using for years was LeLutka and they continue to be my favorite bento head designer, I was thrilled to be able to pick up something from the new Evolution line. It was kismet that the skin creator I have loved for so long also had released one intended for that exact head at Collabor88 in April as well. So with everything coming together so perfectly I didn't even have to spend much time away from my show preparations before I had a brand new, fully updated, BoM enabled look!
One of the things Adam said to me when he awarded me the credit I won at LeLutka was to tag him when I had a favorite photo of my new look. I wanted to do that sooner, especially given the April Fools bit he pulled which I absolutely loved. Still, better late than never as the saying goes. So here is my Adam Lavell is Awesome tribute. My thanks to him, the amazing content creators who make our second lives so beautiful and rich, and all those who've remained patient with me while I've been absorbed in this latest production.
